We met Cal, Karina, Quinto and friends Vic, Mara, and Micah at a local park last week. Dad and Grandpa threw around the Lacrosse ball for a while while we all visited and played in the park. Here is Quinto and Cal on the slide. We ended the field trip and everyone but Mary Ann and I drove home. In the meantime, we got caught in a terrific thunderstorm and arrived home shaky and drenched but nicely cooled down.

An after pool shower
There's nothing like a nice long warm shower after a swim lesson, and Quinto loves it!
Buffing up - September 3, 2012
Quinto has been buffing up recently - here he is at the stretch bands station near our home gym.
False teeth
Learning about finger food can be difficult for an infant and hilarious for onlookers. Here Quinto has just placed a star shaped piece of food on his lips and it sort of stuck. He is trying to figure out what to do with it since he is brand new at dealing with food that isn't mush. For the onlooker though it looks like a serious case of buck teeth!

Here is the brand new, three person family on Nov 19th, Quinto's first day on his own (although with a vital supporting crew). Cal looks ecstatic, Karina looks tired but happy and Quinto is trying to figure out what happened.

Mr. Quinto goes to Disney
Yesterday was a big, and long day for Quinto. Mom and Dad took him to two Disney Theme parks - Animal Kingdom and Epcot Center. He had a great time, but ended up worn out!
He also had his first time using a high chair in a restaurant. As you can see from the picture, he had a great time, and kept his parents mindful about what was in his reach!
The visit was a great opportunity to visit with Karina's Aunt and Uncle who were visiting from Texas.

Another tooth!
Today we got a call from Cal and Karina to tell us that Quinto has gotten his second tooth! In retrospect this doesnt surprise us too much since yesterday he seemed a little on edge. I havent actually seen either tooth yet, most likely due to swelling, but you sure can feel the serrated edges!

Fast Changes
This has been a week of activity for Quinto as well as change and growth. He had his 6 month checkup, and is doing well. His stats are:
- Weight: 16.8 lbs
- Height: 26.25"
- Head circumference: 18"
He had a number of vaccinations at the appointment, was a little cranky but not too bad.
He seems to be dancing quite a bit - rocking and bopping to music, singing and dancing. He is very happy, loves attention and flashes a beautiful smile at everyone that he makes eye contact with. This weeks newest sound he makes is what is best described as a fake cough!
